High pressure to the northeast of Hawaii will shift farther to the
northeast after today/Thursday with trade winds trending much
lighter and lasting through much of the next week. Direction will
vary as a couple of cold fronts/upper troughs skirt the islands
next week. Below normal PWs though should keep precipitation at a
minimum with any showers mainly confined to windward facing
slopes. The latest models and ensembles continue to show excellent
agreement on this pattern with some variability in some of the
smaller scale details.
