Guidance solutions are well clustered for much of the next week
and indicate that strong high pressure building to the north of
the state will continue to support strong and gusty island trades
that will persist into next week as the high shifts gradually
eastward. This pattern will favor windward terrain/mountain
showers daily under a mean weakness aloft, with a few showers
spilling leeward. This overall solution is well depicted by a
favored composite of compatible and consistent model and ensemble
solutions, bolstering forecast confidence. Later, the potential
digging of an amplified mid-latitude system and associated front
to the north of the islands mid-later next week may act to
slightly ease high pressure supported trades and allow for some
island moisture return increase in response.
