...Late week wet pattern emerging for Hawaii...

Trades should gradually decrease through the upcoming week as the
main supporting mid-latitude high pressure weakens. This is
expected with onset of ample mid-latitude upper troughing/height
falls and lead surface frontal approach that should prompt a more
moist island trade response/inverted surface troughing. Forecast
spread is slowly decreasing as guidance continues to trend toward
development of a more amplified upper trough/low over the state
later week through at least the weekend that seems reasonable
considering amplified upstream upper ridging. A favored guidance
composite favors an emerging wetter pattern for the state with
potential for locally heavier rainfall than shown in most
guidance, with some focus into favored terrain. 00 UTC ECMWF
guidance is delayed and was not available for this product
issuance.
