A persistent mid-upper ridge is in place across and north of
Hawaii, and on average this ridge will remain through this week
and weekend, serving to suppress notable rainfall. Some showers
are possible though especially in windward/mauka areas over the
next few days, with a minor increase in moisture and then a weak
mid-upper trough moving westward across the state around Thursday.
Then overall a dry pattern is likely late week into early next
week, with just a few windward showers. Winds will increase today
into Wednesday as high pressure north of the state strengthens.
These breezy to strong trades are forecast to persist through late
week and into early next week as the surface high continues to
strengthen.
