A Pacific surface high to the north of Hawaii will strengthen
through the latter part of the week, staying strong into early
next week. This will promote breezy to windy easterly trades
across the state for the next several days. Aloft, a mid-upper
ridge is in place, suppressing notable rainfall. A weak mid-upper
trough is forecast to move westward across Hawaii on the south
side of the ridge Thursday-Friday, which could allow for a brief
increase in shower coverage favoring windward/mauka areas. Then
overall a dry pattern is likely late week into the first half of
next week, with just a few windward/mauka showers in the breezy
trades pattern.
