Latest guidance agrees well with the forecast pattern over the
next seven days.  Trades will provide the best shower focus over
windward/mountain areas, with rainfall totals fluctuating in
response to areas of greater or lesser deep moisture passing
through from east to west.  Consensus shows surface high pressure
along 40N latitude steadily strengthening into next week, which
will support a corresponding increase in wind speeds across the
state especially in the Tuesday-Friday time frame.  Meanwhile,
models/ensemble means similarly advertise one area of enhanced
moisture crossing the region during the weekend and a second
around Tuesday, followed by what looks to be a longer term drier
trend by the latter half of next week.
