Trade winds should remain on the weaker side through the end of
this week with high pressure well to the northwest of Hawaii and
an upper trough building to the north/northeast. Overall stable
conditions will focus showers mainly along windward/mountain
areas, but below-climatology precipitable water values should keep
rainfall totals light for much of the next week. Trades may
increase again this weekend into next week as an upper ridge
builds east/over the islands.
