As the remnants of what was Tropical Storm Gilma pull away from
Hawaii on Saturday, upper ridging will settle over the islands
through early next week with a return to a more normal trade wind
pattern. A brief shortwave dropping south towards Hawaii around
mid next week may allow a weakening of trades and some windward
shower focus, but any rainfall should be light in nature given
below normal precipitable water values. Upper ridging builds back
by later next week.
