Upper ridging will settle over Hawaii through about Tuesday with a
return to a more normal trade wind pattern. By Wednesday, models
show troughing moving in over the state as a shortwave/closed low
meanders to the north. This should allow for a weakening of trades
and some windward shower focus, but any rainfall should be light
in nature given below normal precipitable water values. Upper
ridging builds back by later next week and into the weekend.
