Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 347 AM EDT Wed Oct 16 2024 Valid 00Z Thu Oct 17 2024 - 00Z Thu Oct 24 2024 Breezy trade winds are likely for Wednesday, with relatively dry conditions. By Thursday trades will be weakening a bit to more moderate levels, while a mid-upper trough approaching from the east will cause some above average moisture to come into Hawaii, enhancing rainfall amounts especially in favored windward locations for Thursday-Friday. Moisture levels should return to normal by the weekend into early next week as an upper high comes overhead. Generally moderate trades with some fluctuations from day to day are likely. Into the middle of next week, upper and surface lows are forecast to be northwest and northeast of Hawaii, but may send fronts as far south as the state, which will continue to be monitored. Tate
