High pressure northeast of the state will produce a typical trade
wind pattern through the first half of this week with isolated
shower chances for favored upslope/mountain areas. The high will
slowly pull away mid-week, and southerly winds will increase
moisture across the region ahead of an approaching frontal
boundary. The front will slowly move across the state late this
week, producing increasing rain chances and gusty northeasterly
winds Thursday and Friday. The frontal boundary will gradually
dissipate next weekend, but residual moisture will likely linger
through the weekend.
