Upper ridging over Hawaii will retreat this weekend, allowing for
breezy trades to weaken by Monday. An approaching cold front to
the north will allow a shift towards more southerly winds and draw
more moisture northward with some increased sea breeze influenced
precipitation early to mid week. By Thursday, the guidance
continues to show a cold front and associated moisture band into
the main islands, with some increase in showers expected. Expect
more northerly to northeasterly fronts behind briefly behind the
front before additional trade interruptions and progressive weak
shortwaves north of the state into next weekend.
