Guidance still seems to reasonably agree in showing a generally
fair weather pattern for Hawaii over the next couple of days with
disrupted trades and ridging aloft. Southerly wind is still slated
to reach the western islands around midweek, supported by
amplified upper trough approach and slow passage to the north and
increasingly over the state with time. These features could
increase and enhance rain chances as moisture pools along the then
stalling front. Post-frontal winds will increase later week as
high pressure re-bridges to the north of the islands in an
expected transition to a more windward terrain focusing rainfall
pattern to tap the lingering pooled moisture plume. Trades may
slacken some next weekend under emerging troughing aloft/east of
the islands.
