...A wetter pattern for the islands...

A preferred composite of reasonably well clustered guidance
indicates that a deep layered moisture plume has pooled into the
state along and ahead of a front stalled over the western islands
as the main supporting upper trough slowly passes mainly to the
north of the state. Expect enhanced rain chances given moisture
under a slow moving upper disturbance. Trade winds will gradually
return this period as high pressure bridges to the north of the
islands. This will increasingly favor transition to a more
windward terrain focusing rainfall pattern with lingering pooled
moisture and showers/downpours later in the week through early
next week.
