Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 251 AM EST Mon Feb 03 2025 Valid 00Z Tue Feb 04 2025 - 00Z Tue Feb 11 2025 Northeasterly flow is forecast over Hawaii for the next couple of days. Generally dry weather is expected Monday, but a weak boundary looks to move through the state Tuesday and produce some light showers Tuesday per the HREF. Winds should lessen around Wednesday-Thursday as the surface pressure gradient relaxes, likely allowing for a period of land/sea breezes. Meanwhile an upper trough could push a weak front toward the state around Thursday, but increased showers may be minimal. Easterly trades should redevelop by the weekend and likely persist into early next week. Tropical moisture may get pulled northward early next week for a wetter pattern, especially across the Big Island, but will continue to monitor to refine the details in future forecasts. Tate
