A composite blend of reasonably clustered and consistent model and
ensemble guidance seems to offer a reasonable forecast basis for
much of the upcoming week. The blend tends to mitigate lingering
smaller scale differences consistent with individual
predictability. An area of enhanced moisture approaching from the
southeast is expected to feed into the western islands over the
next few days to link with a moisture focusing front approaching
from the northwest. This offers potential for some locally heavy
downpours. High pressure bridging to the north then northeast of
the state should favor moderate trades for Tuesday into late next
week, with limited rainfall chances under an upper ridge. Guidance
holds the next front well offshore to the northwest of the state
heading into next weekend as trades tend to relax over the islands.
