A composite of reasonably well clustered model and ensemble
guidance still seems to offer a solid forecast basis for much of
the upcoming week. Blending of compatible guidance tends to smooth
lingering smaller scale differences consistent with individual
predictability. An area of enhanced moisture has pooled in advance
of a stalling front near the western islands. This moisture has
spread eastward to now fuel an axis of enhanced rain over the
central islands and small craft and high surf advisories have been
posted. Expect some locally heavier downpours into midweek before
ease/retreat. High pressure bridging to the north and northeast of
the state should then favor moderate island trades, albeit easing
temporarily this weekend as another front works to the northwest
of the state. Expect limited rainfall chances under an upper ridge
through this period .
