The latest model and ensemble guidance for Hawaii continues to
favor mean upper ridging persisting over the state for the next
week with a couple of cold fronts passing to the north. Showers
may favor windward locations at times, but should be very light
and scattered in nature. A front approaching the islands into
Thursday may bring more southerly winds and a slight uptick in
showery activity, especially for western islands. Once this
passes, winds should shift more easterly again and become stronger
as surface high pressure moves in to the north. This may allow for
some increased mainly windward shower activity next week.
