Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 252 AM EST Fri Mar 07 2025 Valid 00Z Sat Mar 08 2025 - 00Z Sat Mar 15 2025 The general pattern across Hawaii through late this week into next week will consist of breezy to windy trades and showers favoring windward/mauka areas. Surface high pressure will set up north of the state (on average around 35N) to promote these easterly winds. Periodic weak remnants of fronts could enhance showers at times, including on Friday and around Monday or so. Later next week, the surface high is forecast to drift southeastward, and meanwhile an upper trough pushing a cold front will approach west of the state. This combination will allow winds to veer a bit but remain breezy, and reorienting best rain chances on the southeastern sides of the islands. Tate
