Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 315 AM EDT Thu Apr 10 2025 Valid 00Z Fri 11 Apr 2025 - 00Z Fri 18 Apr 2025 A strong surface high will be centered north of Hawaii through the end of the week near 35 degrees north, with breezy to windy easterly trade wind flow. The models agree that a col will likely develop within the subtropical ridge axis over the weekend as a frontal boundary approaches the far northwestern islands. The high then rebuilds north of the state by next Monday before moving northeast by Tuesday, with good overall model agreement. The typical trade wind enhanced showers can be expected most days, with perhaps some heavier showers across the northwestern Islands for the end of this week with a brief increase in precipitable water values. There are no major rainfall events on the horizon over the next week. Hamrick
