Through Tuesday expect a surface trough to be aligned over the 
state, keeping winds light and favoring a land/sea breeze focus 
for rainfall. Some of this rainfall may be locally heavy and 
possibly accompanied by thunder, aided by the combination of above
normal moisture plus a closing upper low north of the state 
tracking barely northeast of the main islands on Tuesday.

Wednesday will offer a trend back to a typical trade regime as 
the upper low continues eastward and opens up. Trades should 
strengthen by Friday and the weekend as surface high pressure 
passes by to the north and northeast. The combination of this high
settling over the eastern Pacific and another high reaching the 
central Pacific will likely maintain fairly brisk trades into 
Monday. Showers should trend lighter as precipitable water values 
reach near to below normal values late week onward.
