On Friday, moderate trades with a few showers in windward/mauka 
areas are likely. But this weekend, a surface high is forecast to 
strengthen and edge closer to the state, which will increase winds
as the pressure gradient tightens. Drier air will also be in 
place and limit shower coverage, so conditions favorable for fires
may be a concern.

Early next week, trades should return to moderate to locally 
breezy levels. Meanwhile a weak low aloft may allow for a raised 
inversion while waves of higher moisture move through. This should
lead to a somewhat wetter trade wind pattern next week. Moisture 
levels look to peak around Tuesday-Wednesday. Widespread heavy 
rain is not expected though.
