Moderate to locally breezy trades in drier flow are expected into
the weekend as moderate high pressure bridges/settles to the 
north of the state. Passing showers should be mainly limited to 
windward and mauka areas as an upper ridge drifting over the 
eastern islands struggles to build westard over the next few 
days. Guidance generally agrees that an early next week upper 
trough axis position could develop just to the northwest of the 
islands, acting to veer island trades and allow some increase in
moisture that could increase shower coverage. At the surface, the
pressure gradient is forecast to weaken by around Monday- 
Tuesday, lessening trades through at least part of next week.
