The forecast period will begin with a diffluent upper-level 
pattern over the islands today. Upper troughing will quickly lift
north on Tuesday leaving behind predominantly zonal flow through 
the rest of the week. Light rain is expected across the state 
with potential for heavier rain over Maui and The Big Island this
weekend. The latest GFS and Euro have trended slightly drier over
these areas. Trade winds will likely persist across the islands 
over the next week.
