The trade wind pattern will be disrupted this week as surface 
high pressure to the north of Hawaii weakens and a cutoff low 
advances southward and settles north of the state by Friday. This 
should bring and increase in moisture and some locally heavy 
showers. The upper low looks to weaken by next week as its 
displaced by upper ridging. Surface high pressure building again 
to the north of the state should reestablish easterly trades next 
week.
