A front over the Upper Great Lakes/Middle Missouri Valley will dissipate by Monday afternoon, but the upper-level energy will linger over the area through late Monday night. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Upper Great Lakes/Middle Missouri Valley through Tuesday morning. Upper-level energy over the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic will produce light to moderate rain over parts of the Mid-Atlantic through Monday evening and light rain over the area through Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southeast/Eastern Gulf Coast, waning on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a front over the Northern Intermountain Region will advance eastward to the Upper Great Lakes and southward to the Central Plains/Great Basin by the end of the short range period. The storm will produce snow and lower elevation rain over the Pacific Northwest and heavy snow over parts of the Northern Rockies, waning to light snow by Monday evening. Snow will redevelop over parts of the Northern Rockies on Tuesday, expanding into parts of the Central Rockies/High Plains by Tuesday evening. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the front, as the boundary moves onto the Northern Plains. The showers and thunderstorms will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Tuesday evening.
