A front over the Northern Rockies/High Plains will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes and southward to the Southern Rockies/Great Basin by Wednesday. The associated warm front will initially be way downwind from the other part of the system over the Upper Mississippi Valley that will move to the Great Lakes/Central Appalachians also by Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front over the Northern Rockies on Monday evening and move into parts of the Northern Plains early Tuesday morning ending on Tuesday. Light rain will develop along the warm front over the Upper Great Lakes early Tuesday morning becoming showers and thunderstorms by Tuesday evening, moving into the Lower Great Lakes/Northern Mid-Atlantic by Wednesday morning. Additionally, showers and thunderstorms will develop along the cold front over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Missouri Valley on Tuesday evening. Furthermore, behind the storm, onshore flow will aid in producing rain over parts of the higher elevations of the Pacific Northwest Monday into Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, diurnal heating will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Southern Rockies during the late afternoon and early evening on Monday and Tuesday. In addition, upper-level troughing will aid in producing instability showers over parts of the Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachians into the Northeast on Monday Evening. On Tuesday, moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will flow northward over the Southern Plains while weak upper-level energy will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms starting over the Southern tip of Texas by Tuesday morning, expanding northward into Eastern Oklahoma by Wednesday morning.
