Tropical Storm Andrea will move northeastward along the Eastern Seaboard from Florida to Southern New England by Saturday morning. Check the National Hurricane Center for the latest advisory on Tropical Storm Andrea for the most current storm track and intensity. Andrea will produce showers and thunderstorm, with moderate to heavy rain, from the Southeast Coast to Southern New England by Saturday morning. In the meantime, a front extending from the Mid-Atlantic to the Lower Great Lakes then southwestward to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains will move eastward to the East Coast and lift northward into New England by Saturday. The boundary will drape around Tropical Storm Andrea, as Andrea moves northeastward. The front will produce light to moderate rain over parts of the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic moving into Maine by Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the boundary over parts of the Central Gulf Coast moving into the Southeast after Andrea moves out of the area by Saturday morning. Showers and Thunderstorms will also develop along the front Friday afternoon into Saturday from parts of the Southeast into the Mid-Atlantic, likewise post Andrea. Meanwhile, high pressure over the Upper Midwest will aid in directing moisture from the Western Gulf of Mexico into the Southern/Central High Plains where diurnal heating and upper-level jet energy will trigger showers and thunderstorms. In addition, a front moving into the Pacific Northwest on Friday morning will move eastward to Northern Plain/Central Rockies by Saturday morning. The system will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies overnight Friday into Saturday morning.
