Tropical Storm Andrea will become post-tropical sometime on Friday evening. The low that is associated with Andrea will quickly move northeastward from the Mid-Atlantic Coast to the Canadian Maritime Provinces by Saturday evening. Check the latest National Hurricane Center advisory for the most up to date information on Andrea's track and intensity. The storm will produce showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain at times, over the Mid-Atlantic into Southern New England through late Friday night. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of New England moving into southeastern Canada by Saturday afternoon. The rain will end over New England by Saturday evening. The front associated with post-tropical Andrea will slowly dissipate over the the Southeast and Southern Mid-Atlantic by Saturday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the boundary over the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic also by Saturday afternoon. In addition, upper-level energy over Upper-Mississippi Valley will move to the Northeast by Sunday morning. The energy will produce light rain over parts of the Great Lakes/Northeast Saturday into Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a front over the Northern Rockies will move southeastward to the Central/Southern Plains and the Middle Mississippi Valley by Sunday morning. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains that will migrate southeastward to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Sunday. The rain associated with the thunderstorms will increase in intensity on Saturday. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Upper Midwest Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning, expanding into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley also on Sunday morning.
