After a day of wet and stormy weather...conditions should begin to clear out across the Mid-Atlantic states on Tuesday as a cold front clears the Eastern Seaboard. Farther north...moisture wrapping around a surface low intensifying off the New England coast will bring steady rains into the Northeast on Tuesday. The low will be slow to exit from the coast...allowing precipitation to linger into Wednesday. Farther south...scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast across Florida. Light and scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to the north of a frontal boundary stretched through the Northern Plains and Midwest on Tuesday. On Wednesday Out west, an upper level system will move onshore in the Pacific Northwest initiating a frontal boundary at the surface by early Tuesday. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are likely across the northwest states and eventually into the northern Rockies on Tuesday as the front moves through the mountains.
