A front extending from the Northern Appalachians southwestward to the Central Rockies will be reinforced by a front developing over the Upper Midwest Sunday night into Monday morning. The boundary will move slowly into the Canadian Maritimes and southward to the Mid-Atlantic to the Southern Plains by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the front from the Central/Southern Plains to the Northeast. The showers and thunderstorms will dip southward into the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast while continuing over parts of the Central/Southern Plains on Monday. Along the developing front, rain will develop over parts of the Upper Midwest, with light to moderate rain developing over parts of Northern New England. The rain will move out of Northern New England by Monday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the new front over the Upper Midwest into parts of the Northeast by Monday evening. As the boundary moves southward, showers and thunderstorms will extend from Southern New England to the Mid-Atlantic and from the Southeast to the Central/Southern Plains by Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level dynamics associated with an upper-level low moving inland over the Pacific Northwest will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northwest eastward to parts of the Northern Rockies through Tuesday.
