A weak front over the Upper Great Lakes to the Central High Plains will dissipate as a new front developing over the Northern Rockies that will advance eastward to the Central Plains to the Upper Great Lakes by Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Great Lakes and move eastward to parts of the Northeast by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the new boundary over the Northern High Plains/Central Plains and expand eastward to the Great Lakes as well as northward into the Northern Plains also by Tuesday. Meanwhile, an upper-level low off the Northwest Coast will stream energy into the Pacific Northwest producing rain from Washington state to Northern/Central California, with some rain light to moderate at times. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop over parts of the Northern Rockies on Monday and Tuesday afternoon/evening. Elsewhere, high pressure off the East Coast will aid in streaming moisture inland across the Southeast and the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast producing showers and thunderstorms over the area through Tuesday.
