A weak quasi-stationary front extending from the Lower Great Lakes westward to the Central High Plains through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from the Northern Plains to New England. On Wednesday, a wave of low pressure will move from the Middle Missouri Valley to the Upper Great Lakes producing showers and thunderstorms, with moderate rain, over the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley. Meanwhile, upper-level disturbance over the Southeast combined with diurnal heating and moisture rich air will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Southeast and the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast through Wednesday evening. An upper-level low off the Northwest Coast will stream energy into the Pacific Northwest. The energy will trigger rain over the Pacific Northwest into Northern/Central California that will wane a bit by Wednesday evening as upper-level ridging begins to build over the Northwest.
