A front extending from the Great Lakes southwestward to the Middle Mississippi Valley then westward to the Central Rockies will move eastward to the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast then westward to the Tennessee Valley and the Southern Plains by Friday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to parts of the Eastern Gulf Coast moving eastward to the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast by Thursday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will redevelop over the Northeast southward along the East Coast to the Southeast on Friday. Light to moderate rain will also develop over parts of Northern New England also on Friday. Likewise, showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Great Lakes and parts of the Ohio Valley on Friday. Meanwhile, an area of shower and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central Plains and move southeastward to parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley Thursday evening into Friday morning, associated with an upper-level disturbances. Elsewhere, light rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest will come to an end by Thursday evening. While on Friday evening, diurnal heating will trigger late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central High Plains.
