A quasi-stationary front extending from the Carolina Coast roughly southwestward to the Central Gulf Coast and upper-level energy will produce showers and thunderstorms extending as far inland as the Tennessee Valley and parts of the Ohio Valley as well as the coastal regions through Wednesday. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will produce showers and thunderstorms over Southern/Central Rockies, parts of the Southwest/Great Basin, and parts of Eastern California through Wednesday evening. In addition, a front moving southeastward from South-Central Canada will advance to the Great Lakes/Central Plains while encountering moisture rich air over the Upper Great Lakes/Missouri Valley producing showers and thunderstorms over the Upper Great Lakes, then expanding along the boundary into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Central Plains by Wednesday evening.
