A front extending from the Great Lakes to the Central Plains will advance eastward to off the Northeast Coast and south to the Carolinas/Tennessee Valley. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley/Central Plains moving eastward off the New England/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Friday. The showers and thunderstorms will also move southward to Southeast/Tennessee Valley by Friday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level energy just off the Northern California Coast will move northeastward to southern Alberta by Friday. The energy will trigger showers and thunderstorm over Northern California moving northeastward to parts of the Pacific Northwest and the Northern Rockies by Friday morning. In addition, daytime heating and monsoonal moisture will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies and the Great Basin/Southeast through Friday. Elsewhere, a warm front moving northeastward from the Northern High Plains to the Northern Plains, on Friday, will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Plains on Friday. Additionally, upper-level energy will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast through Friday.
