The stationary front over the Gulf Coast States will slowly dissipate through Thursday night. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southeast/Gulf Coast States through Friday. A second front extending from the Northeast westward across the Great Lakes into the Northern High Plains will move southeastward to off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast while extending from the Southeast Coast northwestward to the Northern Plains then into the Northern Rockies. Rain will develop along the boundary over the Lower Great Lakes/Northeast moving off the Northeast Coast on Thursday morning. Scattered rain will also develop over parts of the Carolina Coast on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level energy trapped underneath the upper-level ridge over the Central Rockies will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central Rockies into the Northern Plains through late Thursday night. In addition, upper-level low moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest eastward to the Northern Rockies and southward into the Great Basin into Friday.
