A front over parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley, Eastern/Central Gulf Coast, and parts of the Southeast will move southeastward to the Southeast/Eastern Gulf Coast as a wave of low pressure also moves southeastward to just off the Southeast Coast by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary through Wednesday evening and then just along the Southeast Coast by Thursday morning, with a patch of scattered light rain over parts of the Southern Appalachians. Meanwhile, a storm over the Northern Rockies/Great Basin will produce mainly light rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest eastward to the Northern High Plains, with snow at the higher elevations of the Northern Rockies through Wednesday evening. Overnight Wednesday, the associated surface low will move over parts of the Northern Plains producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the area. The rain will end along the Pacific Northwest Coast by Thursday morning, while continuing over parts of the Great Basin to the Northern High Plains, with snow in places at the higher elevations of the Northern Rockies.
