A front extending from the Northern Plains to the Great Basin then off the Central Californian Coast will move eastward to the Great Lakes/Central Plains/Great Basin. The system will produce rain over parts of the Northern Plains/Northern Rockies through early Tuesday morning. A wave of low pressure will develop along the boundary over the Central High Plains that will move to the Northern Plains by Wednesday. The wave will aid in producing rain over parts of the Northern Plains on Wednesday morning. In addition, multiple upper-level disturbances will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest through Wednesday. Onshore flow associated with the energy will produce moderate to heavy rain over the Northwest Coast waning to light rain by Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Rain will also develop over parts of the Northern Rockies, with snow at higher elevations. Meanwhile, southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico will stream a moisture plume over the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast that will intersect with an upper-level disturbance producing showers and thunderstorms over the area through Wednesday. Additionally, easterly flow off the Atlantic will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the southern tip of Florida.
