Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 249 AM EST Sat Nov 09 2013 Valid 12Z Sat Nov 09 2013 - 12Z Mon Nov 11 2013 ...Rain and some snow for the Great Lakes into parts of Northern New England... A front extending from the Upper Great Lakes to the Central Plains will move eastward off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday evening. The storm will produce mainly light rain over parts of the Great Lakes into parts of Northern New England by Sunday morning. Areas of snow will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. Snow will also develop over parts of northeastern New York State into Northern Maine Saturday evening into Sunday evening. Another front over Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains will move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley with the boundary trailing westward across the Northern Plains into the Pacific Northwest. The system will produce light rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Sunday morning. Snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains on Sunday morning that will spread into parts of the Northern Plains by Sunday evening. In addition by Sunday evening, snow will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes. Elsewhere, easterly flow off the Atlantic will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms along parts of the Southeast Coast of Florida through Sunday.
