A slow moving front extending from the Lower Great Lakes to the Central Plains will move just off the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic Coast by Thursday evening while moving southward to the Southeast and the interior Central Gulf Coast then trailing northwestward to the Northern Plains by Thursday evening too. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Lower Great Lakes to parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley that will move eastward to New England to the Tennessee Valley by Wednesday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will move off most of the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast and into parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast by Thursday evening. An upper-level low will linger over the Lower Mississippi Valley and the Central Gulf Coast through Thursday. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Gulf Coast and the Southeast on Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, a plume of moisture will be concentrating just east of the Rockies over the Plains that will aid in triggering showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Plains on Wednesday moving to the Upper Mississippi Valley by Thursday evening. Meanwhile, an upper-level low will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest and move eastward to the Northern Rockies by Thursday. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest to the Northern Rockies on Wednesday. The showers and thunderstorms will move to the Northern High Plains by Thursday evening. Areas of light rain will also develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast Wednesday into Thursday. Elsewhere, weak monsoonal moisture will aid in triggering showers and thunderstorms over portions of the Southern/Central Rockies during the late afternoon and evening on Wednesday and Thursday too.
