A front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley southward to the Southern Plains/Southwest will move eastward to the Northern Appalachians southward to the Southeast and along the Gulf Coast by Friday. Upper-level energy over the Lower Great Lakes/Eastern Ohio Valley will move eastward off the Mid-Atlantic Coast and weaken by Thursday night. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys into the Southern Mid-Atlantic that will move off the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Thursday evening. Areas of rain will also develop over parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic through late Thursday morning. Along and ahead of the boundary showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley southward to the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley that will move eastward to the Northern Mid-Atlantic southward to the Southeast and westward along the Gulf Coast by Friday morning. Rain will develop parts of the Northern High Plains eastward to parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley on Wednesday evening moving into parts of the Upper Great Lakes by Thursday afternoon. Rain will develop over parts of the Northern Appalachians/Northern Mid-Atlantic on Friday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Central High Plains/Central Rockies will produce showers and thunderstorm over parts of the area on Wednesday evening that will move southeastward into the Southern Plains by Thursday morning.
