Low pressure over parts of the Northern Plains will move northward to just over the U. S./Canadian border by Tuesday. The associated cold front will move from the Northern Plains/Great Basin to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Central Plains by Tuesday. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms from the Northern Rockies eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes through Tuesday. The showers and thunderstorms will end overnight Monday over parts of the Northern Rockies. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central Plains Monday night moving into the Middle Mississippi Valley by Tuesday morning. In addition, onshore flow will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest/Northern Intermountain Region through Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, moisture rich air over the Gulf Coast states and an upper-level low will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Southern Plains eastward to the Southeast through Monday night with areal coverage dependent on daytime heating. Overnight Monday, showers and thunderstorms will develop near the upper-level low over the Central Appalachians to the Southern Mid-Atlantic into Tuesday.
