High pressure over the Lower Great Lakes will move eastward out over the Western Atlantic by Friday morning. Clockwise flow around the high will begin to pull moisture off the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic that will move northward over the Southeast to the Western Gulf Coast. Weak upper-level energy over the Southern Plains will move northeastward to just of the New England Coast by Friday evening. Rain will develop over the Western Gulf Coast that will move eastward to the Southeast by Friday. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Southern Tip of Florida and advance northward into parts of the Southeast by Friday. An area of rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley and move northeastward to parts of the Ohio Valley and the Central Appalachians by Friday morning. The area of rain/freezing rain will end by Friday afternoon. Also, an area of snow will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley and move into parts of the Ohio Valley and the Northern Mid-Atlantic/Southern New England by Friday morning, ending by Friday afternoon, too. Meanwhile, more organized upper-level energy over the Pacific Northwest will move the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley by Friday. The energy will produce snow over the Northern Rockies/Northern Intermountain Region and parts of the Great Basin on Thursday moving into parts of the Central Rockies by Thursday evening. The energy will induce a front over the Southern Rockies into the Central Plains on Friday morning that will move out to the Mississippi Valley by Friday evening. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains moving into the Lower Mississippi Valley by Friday evening, while increasing to moderate rain. A small area of rain/freezing rain will develop over the Lower Missouri Valley on Friday morning. Additionally, rain will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley on Friday morning, increasing to light to moderate rain over parts of the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes by Friday evening. Snow will also develop over the Upper Great Lakes by Friday evening. Elsewhere, onshore flow will aid in producing rain and higher elevation snow over the Pacific Northwest on Thursday into Friday. The moist flow will aid in producing snow over parts of the Northern Rockies/Northern Intermountain Region Thursday evening into Friday evening.
