Upper-level energy over the Lower Rio Grande Valley will move along the Gulf Coast producing light to moderate rain over the Western Gulf Coast moving to the Southeast by Wednesday evening. In addition, the energy will induce a area of low pressure over the Gulf of Mexico that will move northeastward to just off Southeastern Louisiana also by Wednesday evening. Additionally, low pressure off the Southeast Coast will move northeastward to off the North Carolina Coast by Wednesday. The low will trigger scattered light rain along parts of the Southeast Coast on Tuesday. Meanwhile, additional upper-level energy over the Great Basin will move eastward to the Southern/Central High Plains by Wednesday morning and deepen over the Southern Plains. The energy will produce lower elevation rain and snow over parts of the Central Rockie/Great Basin on Tuesday. The associated precipitation will move onto the Central/Southern Plains on Wednesday, with snow over the Western Central Plains, becoming an area of rain and snow over parts of the Southern Plains by Wednesday evening. A quasi-stationary boundary will extend from the Pacific Northwest to the Central High Plains through Wednesday. Weak upper-level energy and weak onshore flow will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest and snow over parts of the Northern Rockies. In general, the snow level will rise on Tuesday and Wednesday. The areas of upper-level energy will produce regions of light snow over parts of the Northern Plains into the Great Lakes also on Tuesday and Wednesday.
