A quasi-stationary front extending across the Southeast to the Southern High Plains will gradually advance southward into the Gulf of Mexico by Monday. Waves of low pressure will move along the front, as showers and thunderstorms develop across the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley that will move across the Gulf Coast States into the Southeast Sunday evening into Monday. Rain will also develop across parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley by late Saturday night moving into parts of the Central Appalachians by Sunday morning, then to the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday evening. Energy moving across the Central Rockies will produce snow over the area tapering off on Sunday morning. Additional upper-level energy will move across the Northwest to the Central Rockies by Monday. The energy will produce light snow over parts of the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies by Sunday morning. The snow will move into parts of the Northern Plains and into the Middle Missouri Valley by Monday morning.
