A strong storm over the Tennessee Valley will deepen while moving eastward to the New Jersey Coast by Sunday evening. The system will develop moderate to heavy rain over parts of the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday morning moving into Northeast by Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over Central Gulf Coast that will move into Coastal Mid-Atlantic by Saturday evening, then off the Coast by Sunday. Snow will also develop over parts of the Ohio Valley that will expand along the northwestern edge of the precipitation shield into parts of the Northeast and Central Appalachians on Sunday. In addition, pockets of rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of Northern New England on Sunday. Meanwhile, a front moving inland over the Pacific Northwest will move eastward to the Northern Plains/Central Rockies/Great Basin by Sunday. The storm will produce moderate to heavy rain over parts of Central California and into Coastal Northwest on Saturday. Snow will also develop over parts of the Northern Rockies, expanding into parts of the Central Rockies/Great Basin on Sunday. Additionally, light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains by Sunday evening. Weakening onshore flow off the Pacific will aid in producing coastal rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest into Northern California on Sunday. Another front moving southward out of West-Central Canada will sink across parts of the Upper Midwest eastward of the Rockies Saturday night into Sunday producing light snow from the Upper Great Lakes to the Northern High Plains.
