A storm over the Central Plains will move slowly northeastward into Western Ontario by Tuesday evening. The system will produce heavy snow over parts of the Northern Plain/Upper Mississippi Valley, moving into East-Central Canada by Tuesday morning. Rain with embedded thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley on Monday, with rain moving into parts of the Great Lakes and the Ohio Valley on Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop over parts of the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the West Coast will move inland to the Central Rockies/Great Basin by Tuesday. The storm will produce coastal rain and higher elevation snow over parts of California through Tuesday evening. Snow will develop over parts of the Great Basin/Central Rockies and the Northern Intermountain Region on Tuesday. In addition, on Monday evening upslope flow will aid in producing snow over parts of the Northern Rockies. Elsewhere, low pressure off the Northeast Coast will slowly move eastward out over the Western Atlantic. The system will produce rain over parts of coastal New England and snow over Northern Maine on Monday. Pockets of sleet and rain/freezing rain will also develop over parts of New England on Monday.
