A quasi-stationary front over the Gulf Coast will have a deep wave of low pressure develop over the Lower Mississippi Valley, on Sunday evening, and move northeastward to the Tennessee Valley by Monday. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will overrun the boundary producing showers and thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast through Monday. Energy over the Southwest will move eastward to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Monday, inducing low pressure over the Lower Mississippi Valley. The energy will trigger snow and lower elevation rain over parts of the Central/Southern Rockies and parts of the Great Basin/Southwest on Saturday evening ending later Saturday night. Rain will develop over parts of the Southern High Plains with showers and thunderstorms developing over the Western Gulf Coast. As the wave of low pressure develops, moisture will flow into the Ohio Valley as light to moderate rain develops over parts of the Tennessee Valley on Sunday evening expanding into the Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians by Monday morning. Meanwhile, a different area of upper-level energy over the Pacific Northwest will move eastward to the Northern High Plains by Monday. The energy will produce rain and highest elevation snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Sunday afternoon.
