A front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley westward to the Northern Rockies will move eastward to the Northeast Coast across the Ohio Valley to the Southern High Plains by Friday morning. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Upper Midwest that will move southeastward to parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley by Friday. In addition, rain will develop over the Upper Great Lakes late Wednesday night and expanding along the front on Thursday into the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley. By Friday morning, the rain will move into the Northeast Coast and across parts of the Mid-Atlantic/Ohio Valley. Rain and embedded thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central High Plains on Wednesday/Thursday afternoon and evening, with some areas of snow at highest elevations of the Central Rockies, too.
